Hit Your G-Spot Much?
Grilled. Glorious. Groovy. Gempak. Goody-licious. Gaya. And now, it’s really GONE.
I was upset, more to devastated upon knowing that the greatest tasting chicken burger was no longer on the McDonald’s Malaysia menu. I have only had it twice and hadn’t had enough. I was practically craving for it two days ago and having had to stare at the not so appetizing menu without GCB in it for two minutes was clearly hard enough to decide what to eat. I knew that it was for a limited time only but I didn’t expect it to be removed from the menu so fast. Two months promotion is way too short. If you’re a GCB lover like me, you’ll certainly agree with me. The GCB slogan scored the bull’s eye - it was definitely love at first bite. As a sucker for anything grilled to juicy bites, this tender grilled whole chicken thigh layered with char-grilled sauce and topped with lettuce was made to perfection and simply irresistible. It was a burger of happiness.

If you see me carving a half smile with my eyes dancing at the first bite and continues eating silently without offering to share, you know you want it. And GCB was close to being in my ‘Reach Orgasm Food’ list. It was not because it wasn’t good enough to stand a chance to be in the list, but, because this list is usually reserved for food that is sugary and cheesy. Despite that, it aroused my taste buds like no other.
However, It is without a doubt that GCB was a little pricier than its other burger varieties, but I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra to eat a healthier fast food burger. A grilled chicken patty is better than a fried one, no? Besides, how often do you come across grilled chicken burger?
The response was phenomenal. Its sales better be able to make McDonald’s take a wise step in making GCB available throughout the whole year. I don’t want to be waiting for it like how I wait for Prosperity Burger every year.
In an unrelated note, Wei Jin is coming to Penang tomorrow for a week to spend some quality time with me and to attend my graduation this Saturday. After all, this would be the last time I’ll be seeing him before he goes to UK this 25th for his Masters. Fourteen more hours till his arrival and I’m already all excited. Having said that, I better get some good sleep tonight as my day would be devoted to him tomorrow. My eyelids are shutting slowly like the curtains draw to a close of a play on stage and my body’s aching from spring cleaning my room the entire afternoon.
Let’s call it a night now.
